Do I need to use PrintDOCs for requesting articles from other libraries?

If you are already using the Koha ILL module, continue making ILL requests as usual.

NHSE has commissioned some developments to the Koha ILL module to streamline the document supply workflow. These are due to be deployed in May/June 2025. The ILL module will then work very differently.

If you are using Koha but not the ILL module, you may:

check print journal holdings availability on PrintDOCs, and request via Outlook until the new ILL module is deployed
use the PrintDOCs requesting functionality for print journal article requests, and retrain on the new ILL module when it's deployed

For regional Koha consortia, boards will make the decision for all consortium members.

If you are not using Koha, and want to process requests for articles from libraries with print holdings on PrintDOCs, log a job with the service desk to be set up.
