What access options might I see against search results in the Knowledge and Library Hub?
Depending on the material type, and whether you subscribe to a particular resource, you may see one or more access options against search results. If you aren't logged into OpenAthens in that browser session, you will be prompted to do so at the point of clicking one of these buttons. However if the resource is open access, you won't be prompted.
- A 'Get PDF' button - this takes you direct to the article in PDF format. This button is generated by LibKey.
- A 'PDF Full Text' button - this takes you direct to the article in PDF format. This button is generated by EBSCO and displays for EBSCO content only, instead of the 'Get PDF' button.
- An 'HTML Full Text' button - this takes you direct to the article in HTML format. This button is generated by EBSCO and displays for EBSCO content only.
- An 'Access Item' button - this takes you to the full-text on the publisher's website. This displays if a link to a PDF can't be generated by LibKey or EBSCO.
- A 'View Complete Issue' button - this takes you to Browzine to see the article in the context of the rest of the journal issue it was published in.
- A 'Request this item' button - this launches a form pre-populated with the bibliographic details of the item - you need to fill in your contact details and click 'Submit'. You won't be prompted to authenticate with OpenAthens in order to complete the form.
- A 'WMER abstract' or similar - the record within an NHS repository metadata only
