How are LibKey and BrowZine links kept up to date in the Knowledge and Library Hub?
The 'Get PDF' and 'View Complete Issue' buttons in the Knowledge and Library Hub are generated by LibKey. LibKey holds a record of a library's holdings and uses that data to determine whether to display these buttons.
The holdings data held by LibKey comes from EBSCO. LibKey is updated from EBSCO holdings every week. The data is captured on a Monday and LibKey will reflect the changes on the followingThursday.
This means that there will be a lag between you making changes in EBSCO’s Holdings Management and links appearing in the Knowledge and Library Hub. Please bear this in mind when checking links.
In exceptional circumstances, Third Iron is able to manually update single specific journal titles, or a couple of journal titles, on request. Please log a request for this.
If the changes are more substantial such as the addition of a new package or significant changes to a particular collection, you can send your full holdings to Third Iron and ask for a full manual update. To do this, please follow this process. The process should only take a few minutes to generate the holdings file, and can typically be processed by Third Iron within 48 hours.
