What nationally purchased content should be set up in my Holdings Link Manager (HLM)?
National content includes nationally purchased content and some open access collections. The collections include:
- Bibliographic databases
- BMJ Best Practice
- e-Journal collections and some backfiles
- e-Book collections
- Trip Pro
See the full list of e-resources which comprise national core content.
All of the national content and some some open access content have been selected for you. If you want to check, compare your packages in HLM against this list (note, it includes abstract and index databases, as well as full text collections):
The entry listed as Wiley Library Online Books is for the Maudsley Prescribing Guidelines and under Publisher's Site is the Royal Marsden Manual. The Green boxes with plus signs relate to an EBSCO linking feature and are just for information.
Some sites have a package called a variant on Biomedical Reference Collection this is linked to versions of CINAHL / MEDLINE with additional content they have purchased (Complete / Ultimate etc)
Please note that for some packages, we only have some of the available titles selected. You can see lists of which titles are available in these packages.
For BMJ Journals, please note that the British Medical Journal must be selected from the BMJ Online Journals Collection (NHS) package. All other journals, must be selected from the BMJ Journals package.
If you need help working out which titles for a particular package you should have selected, please raise a ticket with the service desk.
